FCA 431 Collaborative Innovative Practices
2 Lecture & 2 Tutorial
In this module, students will learn how to use collaborative tools as well as strategies for building trust, listening intently, and identifying shared values, even in the face of disagreement through their innovative practice. Collaboration is a difficult task. However, it is critical to integrate different viewpoints, in order to get to the source of societal problems. These innovative practice abilities are critical for creating new organisations while also fostering broader collaboration with allies and unusual suspects. Students will practice the interaction skills and perspective-taking required to get beyond personal conflicts and achieve agreement across several viewpoints. Students will look at examples of cross-sector collaboration, both successful and unsuccessful, to help you think about the diverse strengths and contributions that different actors and sectors may make to
change.
